The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Role Entails

In this newly created role that reports to the Managing Director of Credit Risk Reporting, as Credit Risk Reporting Production Leader you will serve the bank and its lines of business, leading credit risk reporting inventory definition, planning and coordinating the production schedule’s execution, and ensuring reporting processes are documented consistent with bank policies and procedures.

You will lead the team’s weekly calls that coordinate the ongoing production calendar. You will also frequently represent the credit reporting team across risk management, coordinating responses received from the Bank’s lines of business, executive leadership, risk governance activities, regulators, and auditors.

Your role will be essential in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of critical credit risk governance activities. Your strong analytical, technical and organizational skills will ensure the bank responds in a timely and appropriate manner to a continuously evolving financial services industry and credit risk environment. Key Responsibilities

Report Production Coordination

  • Define the credit risk report inventory and reporting process information for each inventoried report; the production calendar; technical requirements for routine credit risk reporting.

  • Oversee the end-to-end production of credit risk reports, ensuring all deadlines are met.

  • Coordinate with various stakeholders, including data providers, report preparers, and reviewers, to ensure smooth end-to-end report production cycles.

  • Track and monitor the progress of report production, addressing any delays or issues that arise.

Data Management

  • Collaborate with data management teams to identify and resolve any data quality issues.

  • Log, track identified data defects, collaborating with data and technology colleagues to drive continuous data quality improvement efforts.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Schedule and facilitate regular meetings with stakeholders, planning meeting agendas and leading reporting status discussions, upcoming deadlines, and potential challenges.

  • Provide clear, concise communication regarding key deliverables status and production risks.

  • Support audit and regulatory examination processes by coordinating requests and responses.

Training and Development

  • Support peers’ professional development, especially pertaining to the adoption of new technology to improve process efficiency.

  • Participate actively in team discussions, asking questions to learn new information and to challenge our current assumptions and processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in one of the following fields: Business, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Supply Chain Management, Data Analytics, Marketing or a related field

  • Microsoft Suite proficiency (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

  • Process oriented with strong organizational, project management and multi-tasking skills

  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate execution in demanding situations

  • Clearly evidenced client service, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills

  • Ability to grasp concepts quickly and independently; interpret data, draw conclusions, and present findings effectively

  • Proactive and resourceful, anticipating and addressing potential issues before they escalate

  • Adapts well to changing priorities; learns new tasks and activities quickly

  • MUFG will not hire individuals for entry-level positions whose work eligibility is based on their F-1 or other student visa status

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis and would not require visa sponsorship now, or in the future

Preferred Skills

  • 0-3 years’ experience (including prior internships) in financial services, including credit-related roles, risk management, or a related field within financial services

  • Knowledge of banking systems and practices, market factor or regulatory environment is a big plus

  • Experience in client servicing and requirements identification

  • Proficiency in risk management software, data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL), coding languages (e.g., Python, R, SAS, Stata) and reporting platforms.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $70K - $1K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
