Associate Yield Engineer

Job Description

OED is the central team that supports all Business Unit Design and Development teams, and other organizations including Sales, Marketing, Business Operations, Foundry Operations, and Test. OED provides a platform for managing all process technology and PDK development for both Internal and External Foundry processes. This strong and highly qualified team (mostly MS/PhD) add strength in developing Test Technology, Foundry Operations, and Yield management. The team’s world class contributions lead to aggressive NPI strategies and continual cost and gross margin improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review and provide daily reports for high volume products in production. Report any excursions or limit violations.

  • Monitor yield for high volume products. Analyze low yield material, align with Foundry Operations on mitigation and improvement opportunities

  • Support fab excursion analytics

  • Identify potential yield improvement opportunities on sustaining products and drive the execution.

  • RMA / QA failures: first-pass analysis

  • Improve product quality by automation of reporting through leverage of PDF Exensio / GA cloud tools

  • Generate/Utilize/Rollout PDF EY/GA quality templates to detect and prevent potential quality excursions

Education Requirements

  • BS or MS degree in a relevant academic program (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Data Science, …). MS in Electrical Engineering is preferred.

  • Experience with statistical data processing, problem solving methodologies.

  • Experience in yield management / statistical tools such as PDF Exensio, GA, JMP, minitab would be a plus. Able to apply statistical analysis to isolate the issue and make data-driven decisions.

  • Experience with writing code/script in R and/or (Iron) Python would be a plus.

  • Knowledge of mixed signal device circuitry would be a plus.

  • Ability to managing supplier excursions and customer escalations through problem solving

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • A good team player. Effective in fast paced, dynamic work environment.
