Plan and execute Mechanical Systems and Components Actuation test facilities and solutions in addition to execution of customer critical test programs..

The successful candidate will be an Advanced Test Engineer supporting Space Missile and Launch Vehicle Actuation test area. The primary responsibilities will be the preparation, coordination, and execution of MSC Mechanical testing on actuation systems test requests – quality data being the key deliverable to our customers. Additionally, the candidate will support facility and test equipment design and maintenance for a wide variety of MSC component and systems test programs/projects. Advanced Test Engineer work with a wide variety of stakeholders in all aspects of test facility design and maintenance, test equipment design, configuration and upkeep, test planning and test execution. The person, under moderate supervision, will leverage their knowledge of engineering processes, discipline, and tools to plan and execute tasks and projects related to the development and certification of Honeywell Mechanical Systems and Components.

Position Responsibilities :

· Demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude and a working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic controls, actuation systems as well as control and data systems.

· Design, procure, fabricate, and maintain test equipment and facilities in support of development, demonstration, certification, and qualification tests.

· Workflow management via the Work Request System (WRS) – includes coordination with all Test Services functions, other Honeywell partners and outside suppliers.

· Being a steward of MT facilities and equipment – including development and execution of initiatives designed to maximize the value that Mechanical test offers customers.

· Support estimates for new tests/programs.

· Build and leverage a strong network. Have a bias for following, improving and developing standard processes.

· Communicate effectively with peers, customers, suppliers, and leadership.

· Demonstrate strong project management skills (plan – execute – escalate).

· Support the maintenance and upgrade of production and R&O test facilities.

U.S. PERSON REQUIREMENTS

Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. Person, which is defined as, a U.S. citizen, a U.S. permanent resident, or have protected status in the U.S. under asylum or refugee status.

You Must Have:

  • Must be US Citizen or Lawful Permanent Resident, due to ITAR and Export Control restrictions.

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in Vibration/Environmental Test environment

    We Value:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering preferred

  • Aerospace component and systems test experience desired.

  • Working knowledge of instrumentation and measurement systems desired.

  • Working knowledge of vibration test systems and equipment and environmental test equipment

  • Demonstrated comfort working with complex systems (mechanical, fluid flow, hydraulics, pneumatics, data and automation).

  • Demonstrated ability to work well with a team while being able to make decisions, balancing risks and rewards.

  • Willing to occasionally work non-standard hours and be on call to support off shift operations
