The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Support Oversight & Reporting for ACH and EDI Operational Processes.

This individual will leverage their Payment Operations/Risk Management experience to support and enhance the ACH/EDI Operations department through metric development, analysis and reporting at various levels. This role would support multiple related projects impacting ACH/EDI Operations by producing essential metrics needed for effective business decisions. This AVP will work closely with Information Technology Development/Support teams, project teams, ACH Operations, ACH Governance and other related functions to enhance processes and procedures through data, metrics, analysis and reporting deliverables.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Demonstrate knowledge of - and sensitivity to - the current regulatory environment impacting ACH and EDI Transmission services, including NACHA Rules and data protection/integrity practices, and supporting the production and implementation of metrics to proactively prevent, detect and monitor performance.

  • Engaging with cross functional partners to support efficiency and streamline processes related to data capture, output and dashboard production for daily management of operational tasks.

  • The role is balanced between day-to-day operational reporting execution, optimization, supporting the strategic direction of the functional area, and projects for the ACH/EDI Operations department.

  • Developing/revising, implementing and monitoring quality service standards that align with target productivity levels and department goals. Provide regular reporting to management.

  • Adhere to the Bank's Risk Vision, and risk management policies and programs; recognize and proactively address risk as new projects are implemented, and drive solutions based on data and analysis.

  • Communicate and collaborate with product owners, implementation teams, technology teams, bank operations and other parts of the Bank, to also include Internal/External Audit, Risk and Compliance as needed.

  • Supporting established routines for analysis and reporting of department capacity, quality and performance standards, and metrics.

  • Supporting regular cadence of internal management, committee and board reporting for the department and related products, and ad hoc data requests.

Role Attributes:

  • In conjunction with management, develops, recommends and executes business plans for area of responsibility.

  • Keeps abreast of new technologies and applications and their implications for assigned area.

  • Extensive ACH payments knowledge and expertise is an asset.

  • Familiarity with NACHA Rules, EDI File Transmission protocols, reporting standards and performance metrics is an asset.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or demonstrated relevant work experience (3+ years).

  • Experienced in supporting financial services ACH/Payment Operations, related control and risk management concepts, and timely reporting deliverables.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively articulate ideas to both technical and non-technical audiences and all levels.

  • Self-starter, ability to work independently, excellent attention to detail, and ability to meaningfully communicate data to multiple audiences.

  • Proven track record of influencing and collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

The typical base pay range for this role is between $90K to $135K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
