CFO

A client of ours is looking for a CFO for a contract role. The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing leadership in financial reporting, and ensuring the company’s financial health. The ideal candidate has hands-on CFO experience, a proven track record in mid-market companies, and expertise in FP& A and financial statement preparation.

Responsibilities of CFO

• Lead the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP/IFRS standards.

• Oversee the year-end financial closing process, including audits and working with external auditors to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

• Lead the financial planning and analysis (FP& A) function, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis, providing strategic insights to support business decisions

• Leverage prior experience working within mid-market organizations to implement best practices, improve financial processes, and drive profitable growth.

• Apply a deep understanding of manufacturing operations, cost structures, and financial performance metrics to enhance efficiency and profitability.

• Take a proactive, hands-on approach to managing day-to-day financial operations, including treasury, cash flow management, and cost control initiatives.

• Oversee the preparation and review of all financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to industry standards and company policies.

• Work closely with the CEO and senior leadership team to develop and execute long-term financial strategies that support the company’s growth objectives.

• Identify and mitigate financial risks through effective internal controls, audits, and compliance initiatives.

  Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of CFO

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred).

• 10+years’ experience as a CFO in the manufacturing industry

• Extensive knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes.

• Year-end preparation experience, including audits and financial closing.

• FP& A expertise, including data analysis, modeling, and variance analysis.

• Hands-on approach to managing financial operations in a mid-market company.

• Strong understanding of manufacturing cost structures and key financial metrics.

• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills.

• Experience with ERP systems and advanced proficiency in financial software.
