The opportunity

The Global Head of Procurement Excellence isa key member of TAPI Global Procurement Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Head of TAPI Global Procurement.

This person will be leading TAPI cross-functional initiatives aimed at achieving sustainable and measureable business results, focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence. They will support the Head of TAPI Global Procurement in creation of the functional vision, strategy, and operational plan, maximizing contribution to TAPI’s growth strategy as well as best in class procurement performance. They will also be accountable to drive change management processes and ensure that all implemented processes and programsare adhered to andcompliant with external regulations and internal TAPI procedures.

How you’ll spend your day

  • Improve the end-to-end efficiency and effectiveness of Source to Pay processes, Global Procurement Programs and Corporate Programs including ESG.

  • Ensure new industry technologies and processes are incorporated into Procurement including systems, analytical and reporting landscape.

  • Develop and drive execution of TAPI Procurement's strategy and roadmap.

  • Lead the development and maintenance of procurement analytics, dashboards, and reporting tools. Provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making in procurement, to support the lean operating model, ensure profitability and return on investment, enable users, maximize experience for internal customers and foster innovation and collaboration.

  • Responsible for setting governance for the Procurement processes, implementation plan and execution.

  • Coordinate the AOP/LRP process within Procurement as well as with stakeholders.

  • Continuously collaborate across procurement areas and with stakeholders to develop and implement lean, standardized and integrated procurement and procurement related processes in line with overall procurement vision.

  • Ensure processes are efficient, effective, customer focused and enable procurement teams to deliver strategic objectives.

  • Drive compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulations: Ensure procurement processes and standards are in compliance with other internal and external processes and resolve compliance issues in a timely manner.

  • Continuously analyze market trends, supplier performance, and cost structures to identify risks and opportunities for improvement and implement risk mitigation strategies with the Categories.

  • Strengthen Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) Programs with key suppliers to foster innovation, track performance metrics and ensure ongoing continuous improvement.

  • Accountable for the developing and facilitating execution of a comprehensive learning and development program for the procurement team. Identify training needs, design curriculum, and ensure skill development among procurement professionals: Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the procurement department.

  • Support procurement related TAPI divestiture activities and processes to ensure smooth transition while establishing best in class standalone global procurement org.

Your experience and qualifications

Qualifications:

  • 10-15 years of professional experience in a global environment, leading cross-functional teams, managing multiple simultaneous high visibility projects.

  • Pharma industry experience: mandatory.

  • Leadership experience leading global services and projects.

  • Experience leading system and tools implementation for a global organization.

  • Process improvement experience.

  • Operational expertise in risk management and contingency planning.

  • Working knowledge of financial and managerial accounting principles.

  • Experience in Ariba or other S2C/P2P solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, materials mgmt., purchasing, business or industrial & management engineering – mandatory.

  • Preferred: MBA and/or relevant certification such as Six Sigma, CPM, CPP, etc.

Knowledge and skills:

  • Proven leadership capabilities and strategic thinking, strong interpersonal skills including cross-functional teamwork, effective written and oral communication skills, strong multi-cultural skills, high energy levels and a bias towards action.

  • Ability to develop and execute strategies.

  • Advanced project management and analytical skills

  • Experience in managing end-to-end processes.

  • Solid understanding of sourcing and contract management and P2P best practices, policies, and tools

  • Previous experience with Ariba, Priority and other Procurement process and system solutions and associated change management methodologies

  • Excellent fact-gathering and analytical skills, including business process mapping and quantitative analysis.

  • Hands-on problem-solving skills, with the ability to clearly define a problem, synthesize data to drive fact-based insights and strategic implications, and facilitate development of clear and thoughtful recommendations.

  • Demonstrated ability to follow policies, rules, procedures, and standard processes.

  • Language requirements: Proficiency with spoken and written English

Travel:

  • Some overseas travel required.
