About Us:
Johnson County Hospital is committed to providing compassionate and effective care to patients. Our Physical Therapy Department is seeking a dedicated Licensed Physical Therapist to lead and support rehabilitation efforts for various patient populations, including school-based, inpatient, outpatient, and skilled care patients.
Basic Function:
As a Licensed Physical Therapist, you will organize, plan, and implement physical therapy programs, working with patients to aid recovery from physical disabilities. You will also provide supervision and guidance to therapy assistants and aides.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide physical therapy services to diverse patient groups, including pediatrics and skilled care patients.
- Evaluate each patient to develop and implement personalized treatment plans.
- Supervise therapy programs, ensuring quality patient care and addressing any concerns or obstacles.
- Collaborate with physicians to review and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Maintain accurate patient records, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate treatment protocols to the care team to support consistent patient care.
- Attend professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in physical therapy.
- Perform other duties as required by hospital administration.
- Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- Must hold a current license as a Physical Therapist in the State of Nebraska.
- Physical Demands and Work Conditions:
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods with intermittent movement.
- Occasional lifting and supporting of patients may be required.
- Primarily indoor work, with occasional travel to other facilities.
