DUTIES: Siemens Medical Solutions USA, Inc. seeks a Solution Architect in Tarrytown, New York. Work directly with Head of Site Management will develop and maintain an IT landscape dashboard with respect to datacenter asset and applications for all DX sites globally. Oversee all global IT datacenter initiatives to be deployed at DX sites with focus on migration to cloud, consolidation, and cost savings. Review business led initiatives and demands as IT solution architect - translating business demand into IT requirements for ultimate implementation by COEs. Serve as the senior technical resource for all IT implementations, migrations, and rollouts in the datacenter space affecting DX sites. Evaluate existing datacenter contracts with various external suppliers and consolidating and migrating them to central services where applicable. Oversee datacenter vulnerability management and remediation for DX sites. REQUIREMENTS: The position requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Electronic Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or Strategist, Cloud Architect, Consultant, System Administrator, Customer Support Engineer or an acceptable alternate occupation. The position requires experience with the following: developing Datacenter solutions based in Azure including Data Lake and Analytics platform development; understanding of networking including those specialized in Research and Development and Supply Chain Manufacturing environment and extension of such networks to cloud environments; experience with wide range datacenter and IT compliance guidelines and vulnerability management systems; guiding and training in the organization of the datacenter space; understanding of enterprise IT strategy, IT industry standards and the tools and technologies that make-up the enterprise IT landscapes; experience in IT solution design and capability to implement such solutions and troubleshoot; improving existing processes and approaches with a continuous improvement approach; Datacenter cost optimization and cloud optimization; ability to interface with multiple global infrastructure teams to create solutions and resolve outages; Performing security audit; knowledge on security topics; Azure Cloud Expert certification; enterprise architecture certification (e.g.: TOGAF certification).
