Job Purpose

Main Responsibilities

Leading end-to-end procurement agenda for customer packaging portfolio in Indonesia, & customer packaging, folding carton, bottle, market packaging and CAPEX/MRO for ANZ market and globally co-lead living wage or other sustainability initiative. The duties are mainly and not limited to as follow:

Supply security.

  • Responsible to ensure 100% commercial terms contract in place for entire business groups (H ome C are , P ersonal C are , B eauty & W ellbeing , Nutrition and I ce C ream ).

  • Responsible to address supply shortfall risks and drive resilience agenda in achieving on-time and in-full supply performance to our in-house and 3rd party manufacturing sites.

  • Partner with QC team to achieve zero critical non-conformance or quality defects which risk both consumers and brand reputation from the packaging materials supplied, and continuous quality improvement on the packaging materials .

  • Conduct regular quality assessment toward mould /machine used by our suppliers, specifically for bottles, to ensure that tooling/machine are well-maintained hence seamless supply to Unilever.

  • Partner with Planning team to keep track safe capacity utilization of moulds /machines at suppliers, address the gaps with resilience actions and partner with Engineering team for CAPEX requirements .

  • Drive service level agreements, include resilience clause, AQL/quality standard, and other operational terms with packaging suppliers.

    2) Cost saving & business margin improvement

  • Lead commercial and contract negotiation with packaging suppliers to achieve buying productivity target .

  • Partner with R&D, SC and Marketing in exploring specification-related cost saving opportunities, negotiating contractual terms and deploying the project in timely manner.

  • Quarterly price forecasting accurately and effectively to enable businesses in making strategic sale pricing decisions to cover cost fluctuations or changes in consumer demand.

    3) Innovations, incl New Product Development (NPDs) : Lead sourcing strategy for innovation projects, include sourcing identification, pricing and contractual negotiations, and project executions to build capacity and capability required at supplier in achieving 100% on time, in full innovation delivery to market.

    4) Compliance : Ensure compliance status to all packaging suppliers to Unilever’s Responsible Partner Policy (RPP) , acceptable quality certifications (FSSC 22000:2010, BRC, etc ) and other compliance requirements.

    5) Sustainability : improve PCR inclusion and other plastic packaging, wood based packaging ( e.g. NDPE) agenda, living wage and any other sustainability agenda.

    Candidate Criteria

    Experience & Qualification s:

    Essentials –

  • Relevant experience in Procurement or Supply Management or Finance or any relevant functions which involves data analytics, project management and/or negotiation.

  • Fluency in MS Excel for data analytics and PowerPoint for data visualization

  • Public speaking and presentation

  • Willing to work in the office ( Graha Unilever, BSD City) and to be flexible in working hours to join calls with global team which may take place outside normal working hours.

    Desirable –

  • FMCG experience

  • Packaging relevant experience, specifically corrugated paper format.

    Skill s:

  • Negotiation skills, financial acumen and strong in number

  • Project management

  • Outstanding in idea generation, ideas that are forward thinking and create sustained competitive advantage.

  • Capability in data analytics and visualization.

  • Strong at selling ideas to his/her business partners, internally and externally, translating these into effective proposals conveying value and communicating it accordingly.
