Job Summary

We are looking for an HR professional who can demonstrate experience across the whole spectrum of people processes, from hiring to exit. You will act as a trusted advisor to our business, managing all operational HR processes compliantly in Finland for our two legal entities. You feel confident working with daily operational demands that add value to the business, and you are comfortable managing tasks such as advising line managers on employment legislation, supporting recruitment activities, conducting interviews as well as supporting managers in our global people processes such as annual performance and development discussion, employee engagement surveys and talent development. You will be reporting to the Regional HR Leader and work closely together with other HR professionals in the region and EMEIA, you will support our HR Business Partners as well as local management and line managers. Your primary location will be in our Tampere site.

Responsibilities

  • All employee relation and labour legislation related matters from hiring to exit, ensuring compliance with various regulations and company policies and providing advice to line managers regarding employment matters

  • Resource planning with local managers, including recruitment and selection, redundancy and restructuring activities

  • Managing salary review process, bonus programs and local benefits according to company policies and local legislation, providing local expertise to C&B development

  • Coordinating Ingersoll Rand global people strategy and processes (e.g. performance and development plan process, employment engagement surveys) in your responsibility area and ensuring the local managers are up-to-date and informed about our annual HR processes and policies.

  • Maintaining HRIS data and ensuring data quality as well as payroll compliance

  • Facilitating a good work culture, driving employee engagement and wellbeing and handling performance management cases and staff grievances

  • Developing our leadership culture proactively, together with our line managers

  • Promoting established Health and Safety practices and standards and ensuring the organization complies with them

Key Competencies and Basic Qualifications

  • A master’s or bachelor's degree in HR, business administration or a related field

  • Minimum 3-5 years´ of experience in a demanding generalist HR role in a multicultural and matrix environment, preferably also in production environment.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws, collective agreements and practices in particular in manufacturing /industrial environment including blue collar workforce in Finland

  • Knowledge and experience in all people processes across the employment lifecycle

  • Experience in implementing people processes for example in the areas of resourcing & recruitment, talent development, competence development, engagement, performance, or rewards

  • Good negotiation skills and a persistent attitude to getting things done

  • Fluent communication, presentation and facilitation skills in Finnish and English

  • Demonstrable understanding of standard HR metrics e.g. headcount, C&B costs, turnover, operational reporting (e.g. sickness and absence)

  • Relevant IT skills, understanding the importance of data quality in our HR systems

  • Experience in working with employee representatives and labour unions

Travel Requirements

Occasional travel to, for example, other plants in Finland and abroad
