Kalmar Digital Solutions creates data-driven software and services for intelligent cargo handling. By using cutting-edge cloud technologies and industry best practices, we are responsible for driving digital and AI transformation and accelerating the development of software solutions across Kalmar.

Kalmar Digital Solutions team is looking for anexperienced hands-on Software Architect to join us in our mission to Make Every Move Count.

In this role, you will join a team of experts building solutions ranging from IoT data ingestion from machines to desktop, mobile and cloud applications. You feel at home interacting with various internal and external stakeholders, such as developers and data scientists to designers and business owners.

You can work your way through the entire lifecycle of software products, from capturing architecturally significant requirements to designing elegant architectures, and leading hands-on implementation to deployment. You will drive the team to deliver on its goals and continuously improve its ways of working while solving complex engineering problems.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Several years of professional experience in developing large-scale cloud and Web based software systems

• Strong working knowledge in one or more programming languages including Typescript, Python and C++

• Good understanding of software architectures and requirements management

• Working knowledge of AWS technologies such as ECS, RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Lambda, Glue, Kinesis, S3, DynamoDB, Athena, IAM, IoT Core, and CloudFormation

• Good working knowledge of topics like serverless computing, containerization, data streaming, microservice architectures, SQL/NoSQL databases, and REST APIs Broad knowledge of tools, frameworks, and technologies related to designing, implementing, deploying, and hosting scalable and fault tolerant software services in the cloud

• Experience in cloud automation and infrastructure configuration management tools like Ansible, CDK, CloudFormation, Terraform, and Jenkins

• Natural drive for continuous learning and interacting with the development community

• Proficiency with agile and lean software development methods

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills allow collaboration with stakeholders from various backgrounds

• M.Sc (Eng.) or higher in Software Engineering, Computer Science or equal

Additionally we appreciate:

• Understanding of the mobile work machines industry and how machine control systems work

• Understanding of autonomous vehicle development

• Understanding of the cargo handling industry
