The selected colleague will work at an MUFG office or client sites four days per week and work remotely one day. A member of our recruitment team will provide more details.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the reporting, analysis, and review of budgeted headcount to include requisition management for one more technology divisions.

  • Must have strong business and financial acumen and be comfortable dealing with complex financial analysis and concepts within an IT organization.

  • Results oriented, exhibits passion for excellence and drives results; conveys sense of urgency and timely tracks open items to closure.

  • Works with Internal customers (employees and business units), to streamline business processes and break down barriers to align to business priorities, leveraging automation to improve efficiency.

  • Provide strategic guidance and advisory services to technology heads to improve consistency and standardization

  • Work with Project Management Office to align business unit strategy with annual appropriations and midterm business plan submissions

  • Own and manage IT business unit financial plan and cost controls

  • Work with IT business unit and business unit finance team to monitor and control financial spend

  • Provide clear insight into vendor spend, maintenance renewals, and other outside costs for execution by vendor operations.

  • Engage in key stakeholder communications, stakeholder governance routines, leadership meetings, and management routines

  • Support processes and facilitate leadership level staff meetings, town halls, and communication for one or more technology divisions

  • Manage the collection of business unit information for governance and risk management routines and ensure that deliverables are completed on time with quality

  • Deliver on Ad Hoc requests or initiatives for your business as they arise in support of the CIO, Division Leaders or other leadership as needed

  • Support the fixed capacity model by ensuring supply and demand are accurately reflected in the portfolio management tool

  • Provide leadership on Portfolio Management tool to assist technology divisions and resource managers with best practices, training, and reporting to effectively manage fixed capacity

  • Be the Subject Matter Expert on the Portfolio Management tool for ITA, providing consultation to the unit technology Resource Managers.

  • Partner with Resource Control Tower (HC tracking) to provide input and improvement on resource data and reporting to understand needed focus areas.

  • Coordinate with PMO to understand project demand and BAU fixed capacity impacts.

  • Develop processes to drive alignment between budget/forecast to fixed capacity in the portfolio tool

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors’ degree in Computer Science or Operations or Business / Management or Finance related fields.

  • Equivalent work experience equally preferable.

  • 8+ years of overall professional and leadership experience

  • Minimum of 6 years overall experience in Finance and/or Business Management.

  • Preferred experience: previous work at a financial services firm

  • Experience working with budgets, planning, and appropriations business cycles.

  • Leadership experience in conducting working sessions, facilitating focus groups, driving team meetings and process improvement sessions etc.

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and an ability to interact with all levels of management.

  • Strong skills in risk assessment analysis and a solid understanding of business and financial markets

  • Deep understanding of respective business area, the budget/forecast, and its inherent risk

  • Solid understanding and planning skills in all aspects of the system's/business project life-cycle

  • Demonstrated track record of delivering positive results in project work, including high quality implementations, cost savings, additional revenue, within time and budgetary constraints

  • Aptitude to prioritize and analyze a list of measurable product or service characteristics along with associated target values

  • Ability to develop and oversee strategic goals and measurement, aligning to various initiatives to drive realization of strategic goals and business plans.

  • Proven ability to reach an audience through effective and clear presentations, writing skills and excellent communication strategies

  • Planview experience is preferred

The typical base range for this role is between $149K and $180K per year depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
