The Opportunity

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Leads logistics team, initiatives, and process improvements.

  • Provides support to project teams with complex logistics functions for projects and proposals.

  • May be required to support other logistics duties on multiple projects.

As part of BV Operations, your skills will be aligned to projects that support our 3 market sectors which include, Governments & Environment, Energy & Process Industries, and Connectivity & Commercial. In roles like Engineers, Technicians, and Skilled Specialists you will be engaged with exciting projects across the globe. Key Responsibilities

  • Execution of domestic and international ground, ocean, and air shipments including ocean container shipments, breakbulk shipments, barge shipments, and chartered vessels.

  • Familiar with maritime requirements (IMO), International Air Transportation Association ( IATA) and Dangerous Goods (DG) requirements.

  • Contract and negotiate with service providers to support project shipments. .

  • Develop detailed RFP’s supporting EPC project requirements.

  • Complete understanding of all required shipping documentation and review for shipment accuracy to avoid delays.

  • Work proactively with suppliers to ensure shipment readiness, verifying and communicating all project specific requirements.

  • Prepare shipping documents to include commercial invoices for international shipments relevant to client delivery incoterm.

  • Maintain shipping records and file appropriately in project repository.

  • Tracking of shipments for multiple projects.

  • Support the development of detailed logistics plan for proposals and projects.

  • Create detailed logistics project reporting including internal logistics execution plans.

  • Complete understanding of 2020 incoterm.

  • Work with engineering team, expediting, estimating, procurement, legal, insurance, and payables teams supporting projects.

  • Compliance with US Customs requirements and export control classification requirements.

  • Understanding of denied parties lists and sanctioned entities.

  • Work with client, supplier, or freight forwarder for country specific customs requirements.

  • Contribute and communicate supply chain disruptions and current market conditions.

  • Set up ongoing meetings with clients, suppliers, and freight forwarders to ensure compliance support project execution.

  • Identify risks and communicate to appropriate parties.

  • Create Transportation & Logistics Studies with assistance from carriers and/or freight forwarders based on the needs.

  • Complete understanding of Schedule B #’s, Harmonized Tariff Schedules (HTS #) and how duties/taxes are accessed/determined.

  • Work through Marine Warranty Survey requirements for at risk ocean or air shipments.

  • Collaborates as needed to resolve complex claims or other issues.

  • Responsible for any and all logistics requirements.

  • Responsible for the performance or the direct management of one or more logistic teams.

  • Identifies and assesses improvement opportunities which will add value.

  • Champions continuous improvement efforts.

  • Assesses and supports the change management effects associated with the implementation of improvements.

  • Proactively supports, encourages, and facilitates staff to engage in continuous improvement activities.

  • Develops and conducts training programs, coaches, and mentors professionals in logistics function.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Licensed Custom Broker, preferred.

  • CSCP certification, preferred.

  • CLTD certification, preferred.

Minimum Qualifications

BA or BS degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain, Business, Technical, or related field. Relevant experience may be substituted for a degree. Minimum 12 years of relevant experience. All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.

Work Environment/Physical Demands
