Burgess & Niple Senior Project Manager - Traffic - 3761 in Tampa, Florida

Must have the following to apply:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited civil engineering program
  • PE registration in the State of Florida, or ability to be registered with reciprocity, PTOE registration desirable
  • 15+ years of related traffic design or traffic studies experience
  • Experience in business development and managing projects for state and/or municipal clients is essential, as well as FDOT design/CAD criteria and experience applying them in plans development is required
  • Interest in transportation engineering and motivated to improve the efficiency and safety of transportation systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microstation
  • Experience with Visual or AGI32 lighting software, Synchro and/or Vissim, or other traffic analysis software is a plus
  • Communication skills and ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment
  • Self-motivated and adaptable, including the capability to learn virtual collaboration tools
  • Valid drivers license

**Job Description: Come work alongside our Florida Traffic Team and collaborate with industry leaders in transportation. We are looking for Senior Project Manager - Traffic Engineer capable of leading traffic design (Signing and Pavement Marking, Signal, and Lighting) projects. This position can be filled in our Tampa or Orlando, FL office.

Duties and Responsibility:**

  • Work with project and design team to lead, develop and prepare project deliverables to meet project objectives and schedule
  • Lead and participate in meetings related to assigned projects
  • Provide oversight to team in the preparation of cost estimates for traffic related components on assigned projects
  • Lead traffic studies and traffic analysis projects
  • Manage and coordinate project drawings using MicroStation and/or AutoCAD software
  • Opportunity to collaborate and support staff across the firm
  • Develop and mentor less experienced traffic engineering staff
  • Create an exemplary client experience throughout the project delivery
