Job Title: **Senior Desktop Administrator (Hybrid)

Must have the following to apply:

  • 4 plus years of experience in related IT/desktop support
  • 3 plus years supporting Windows laptops and laptop management systems, additional experience with Mac is a plus
  • Experience supporting, implementing, and/or administering networks such as Microsoft Active Directory
  • Experience supporting a remote workforce
  • Experience supporting Client 3rd Party Applications for Windows and additional experience with MacOS is a plus
  • Experience with Network administration projects, such as installation or troubleshooting of routers and switches
  • One or more certifications in the following areas: CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, MCSE, CISSP, CISM
  • May regularly lift and/or move IT equipment weighing up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

**Job Description: This position is primarily responsible for providing desktop and network support to users. This individual will learn department processes and apply their knowledge and experience to complete assigned projects. They will consider department and project-wide scope when solving problems.

Duties and Responsibility:**

  • Lead desktop and helpdesk support efforts, ensuring all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved with limited disruptions. Accountable for SLA ownership and execution and managing customer expectations around support delivery timelines. Supporting a mixed desktop/laptop environment consisting mostly of Windows 10 and Mac OS
  • Partner with Systems Architects and Engineers to update existing tools or design and implement new tools utilized by the HelpDesk team so that they can achieve their goals.
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software errors by running diagnostics, documenting problems and resolutions, prioritizing problems, and assessing the impact of issues, including network endpoint configuration and troubleshooting (PC, Laptop, Cell Phone) connectivity over VPN
  • Responsibilities include involvement in client installations, day-to-day asset management, vendor warranty repairs, and participation in projects to meet local and company-wide initiatives
  • Provide Google Workspace Apps support, including Gmail, Slack, Drive, Docs, Sheets, et al. Potentially troubleshooting and escalating issues to Google
  • Develop technical documentation to add to the department knowledgebase to ensure appropriate knowledge transfer and knowledge sharing
  • Perform regular backup operations and implement appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures
  • Respond to assigned Zabbix alerts
  • Provide VOIP system and endpoint configuration and troubleshooting for Digium system (Phone, Soft Phone, Mobile Apps)
  • Maintain Asset Inventory
  • Monitor and perform system backups
  • Seek solutions to regularly occurring issues, getting in front of them before they happen
  • Perform as a critical Team Member in IT: participate in daily stand-up status meetings, work on IT projects, test/help create DR plans, consult with users to create hardware/software/system specifications
