We are seeking a talented and motivated individual to join our team as a Machine Learner Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical part in designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, software systems, and reliability practices. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the success of our data-driven initiatives.

Pay range: $25-30

Skills and Requirements

Machine Learning/Data Engineering (40%)

Use Apache Airflow for ETL pipelines, ingesting data from various sources (application, loan, fraud, payment, model).

Apply data modeling techniques to store processed data in an AWS S3 Data Lake.

Collaborate with data science teams to validate new models and aggregate features.

Analyze datasets using Trino and Pandas.

Work with data vendors to enhance customer/application segmentation.

Retrieve customer/application data for retrospectives or debt sales.

Software Engineering (25%)

Implement XGBoost models in Python.

Design underwriting policies.

Develop backend features using Django REST framework.

Create decision models within a Django framework.

Integrate new data vendors into our Django web server.

Conduct unit and end-to-end testing of models and APIs.

DevOps/Site Reliability (20%)

Monitor systems (DecisioningEngine, Modelhoster, Airflow, UOwnCoreLambda) using Opensearch Slack alerts, AWS SES, and Cloudwatch.

Design and implement API endpoints using AWS CDK and Lambda.

Maintain CDK AWS CodePipelines for CI/CD.

Manage AWS Opensearch service and deploy Docker swarm clusters.

Monitor logs using CloudWatch.

Design and build Docker containers.

Miscellaneous (15%)

Maintain and extend a single-page application (Node.js, React, MobX, SCSS).

Extend the landing page (Python, Django).

Maintain and extend the web server (Python Sanic).

Handle ad hoc audit requests from various data stores.

Write Python scripts for LMS interfaces.

Automate underwriting tasks using Docker, Bash, and Python.

Engage with customers via CampaignMonitor and Twilio.

Collaborate with data vendors to prevent fraud. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.

Proficiency in Python, Django, and relevant libraries/frameworks.

Experience with AWS services (S3, Lambda, CDK, Opensearch, Cloudwatch).

Strong understanding of ETL processes and data modeling.

Familiarity with Docker and container orchestration.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
