Title and Summary

Manager, Account Management

The Digital Partnerships team works with digital players large and small to create innovative, differentiated products and solutions that shape the future of commerce. The Manager role is responsible for cultivating strategic partnerships and managing our relationships with partners across global strategic digital partners. This person will work across global and local teams to leverage Mastercard’s technological capabilities to solve real world problems for our partners and their customers, create new product propositions, and ensure seamless, secure and inclusive payments.

About the role:

In this high-profile, customer-facing position, you will:

• Manage day-today relationships our key global digital partners.

• Help execute Mastercard’s go-to-market strategy across a holistic suite of products and services.

• Co-innovate with partners to build new product propositions through close collaboration with Mastercard product development and innovation teams.

• Build and cultivate partnerships that advance Mastercard’s Environmental, Sustainability, and Inclusive Growth agenda.

• Drive Mastercard revenue growth and be comfortable developing business cases including ROI analyses as well as supporting responses to RFPs.

• Support negotiations with partners and with internal stakeholders and develop terms sheets and contracts.

Responsibilities

• Use analytical problem solving and data tools to advise customers regarding program development, optimization & growth, as well as market strategies.

• Support and lead project execution across multiple business functions including account management, and business development, marketing/communications and product management.

• Support and lead business conversations with key decision makers internally and externally.

• Contribute to the delivery of integrated solutions that address customer needs.

• Drive and support both account management and business development efforts, internal partners and key stakeholders.

• Support the development and review of sales presentations, proposals, and internal business case development.

• Work closely and develop relationships with internal stakeholders across the business unit. Liaise with different regions to drive alignment on global strategy and local/regional requirements.

All About You / Job Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to balance command of the details with ability to deliver clear, concise summary.

• A passion and comfort in meeting new people and building meaningful relationships with senior-level executives.

• Passion for B2B sales and working in a sales environment to drive results.

• Possess a blend of analytical capability, strategic thinking, and emotional intelligence and able to dive deep on all areas of the business to deliver creative solutions to unstructured problems.

• Comfortable aptitude for onboarding complex business and technical knowledge to a level sufficient to engage in meaningful partner discussions and identify and drive solutions.

• Enjoy collaborating with a team while working independently towards a goal.

• Strong analytical skills: aptitude for working with financial information and operational data; experience with developing business cases & strategic analysis.

• Self-motivated with a proven track record of delivering multiple projects within a team environment. Ability to collaborate and build relationships with account team and across multiples functions.

• Some professional experience in financial services, cards, payments or another related field preferred.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
