The Role:

The Data Security Project Lead is a senior level, technical position responsible for driving efforts reduce the risk in the area of data security. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the execution of Data and Information Security directives and activities in alignment with Citi's data security policy. This role will be a highly technical project manager leading project meetings, creating and updating project plans, communicating status, while tracking and escalating issues.

Responsibilities

  • Lead meetings with engineering teams and stakeholders to orchestrate projects and discuss issues, risks, and progress while ensuring consistent momentum and alignment to project timelines and milestones

  • Effectively report on project status to both technical and non-technical stakeholders including any risks, challenges, progress, etc.

  • Generate projects plans and keep them updated across timelines based on gathered or existing requirements based on project assigned

  • Develop corrective action language for Data Security gaps and ensure risk closure meets Citi requirements and industry best practices

  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure technical solutions are built, deployed, and modified as necessary according to the project specifications

  • Consistently recommend and implement process improvements or standardizations where applicable to address deficiencies and continuously optimize across project timelines

  • Facilitate the implementation of approved tools relevant to projects

  • Mitigate project risk by analyzing any issues, potential impacts to business, and required corrective actions

  • Communicate changes on Data Security regulations and standards to Business and Program owners

  • Speak with teams and stakeholders on different global time zones as needed

Qualifications

  • 6+ years' experience working on highly technical project delivery around DLP, Digital Rights Management (DRM), File Encryption, and Key Management

  • Experience with Jira, MS Project, or other project management tools

  • Experience or exposure to testing process and tracking on projects (i.e. UAT, Prod, Dev)

  • Demonstrated ability to research and apply current information regarding the InfoSec field

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication

  • Proven influencing and relationship management skills

  • Proven analytical skills

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience

  • Master’s degree preferred

  • 1 or more of the following technical certifications is a big plus: CISSP, PMP, CAPM, CISM, CISA, CCSP, SecurityThis job description provides a high-level review of the types of work performed. Other job-related duties may be assigned as required.

Must have strong technical knowledge and have project management experience leading Data Security projects. The following technologies are preferred (DLP, DRM, Key management, application encryption)

$113,840.00 - $170,760.00
