Must have the following to apply:

• No minimum education required
• Two years experience
• Current and Valid Class A or B CDL commercial driver's license
• Able to pass a FMCSA Clearinghouse Query
• Provide a medical certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proven work experience as a truck driver with knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations
• Hands-on experience with electronic equipment and software (GPS, AVL units, CB etc.)
• Ability to drive long hours and travel regularly
• Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc.)

**Job Description: The CDL Driver is responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods and other articles of trade to job sites for installation. The CDL Driver is tasked with driving and maintaining trucks that are assigned to them, as well as working closely with our team of dispatchers in order to plan routes and make deliveries.

Duties and Responsibility:**

• Drive long distances to deliver materials to jobsites
• Load, unload and record cargo deliveries. Maintain paperwork
• Refuel and clean vehicle
• Inspect trucks and record issues. Report road incidents to the dispatcher and report mechanical problems to maintenance personnel
• Follow traffic laws and follow accident procedures
• Keep activity log and log hours. Plan routes using GPS system
• Keep commercial driver requirements up to date

Work Environment and Physical Demands:

• Repeated physical effort including driving for several hours per day or several hours at a time, standing and walking for extended periods of time (more than several hours), loading and unloading equipment into and out of company vehicles, walking on varying ground surfaces and frequently lifting a minimum of 50 pounds
• Comfortable around vehicles moving through work zones and maintaining constant awareness of surroundings on construction site including placement of machinery and equipment, other employees and construction activities
• Communicating - both written and verbally, ability to complete daily paperwork as required by supervisor
• Working a flexible schedule which can include day or night shifts, weekends and/or holidays, adjusting to a changing work schedule, working overtime and working individually and as a team with other employees
