This job announcement will be used to hire a Nurse Supervisor.

This position provides supervisor duties for the clinical eligibility unit for the Children’s Medical Services program. This position spends more than 50% of the time engaged in supervisory responsibilities. This includes communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees’ work. The incumbent has the authority to hire, transfer, suspend, lay off, recall, promote, discharge, assign, reward, or discipline subordinate employees or effectively recommend such action. The incumbent will also be required to develop performance expectations, meet with staff regularly to discuss performance, complete performance reviews, maintain vacation and work schedules, ensuring proper coverage, and complete timesheets

Your Specific Responsibilities:

• Supervises, coordinates, and participates in research, analysis, collection, and preparation of data for ongoing, ad hoc, and annual reports for comprehensive planning.

• Supervises the development, review and revision of program rules, manuals and policies and procedures that effect the clinical eligibility unit. Ensures good management practices and adherence to program policies, procedures, guidelines, and standards of practice

• Participates in performance and quality improvement activities and initiatives. Collaborates with stakeholders and staff to develop best practices for operational efficiencies.

• Responds to oral and written requests for information. Provides effective, regular communication to internal and external individuals and groups.

• Regularly conducts staff meetings to provide opportunity for staff and program development activities, as well as for dissemination of general information. Promotes training opportunities and directly trains staff.

• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Minimum or Preferred Qualifications:

Active Licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse or a multistate Registered Nurse license from another Compact State.

Years of Experience: 2 - 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.

Leadership ability, Great communication and computer skills,Pediatric nursing experience.

Valid Driver's License
