MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

A bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and two (2) years of professional or nonprofessional experience in administrative work, regulatory work, consumer complaint program work, interviewing, business administration, customer or public relations or investigations.

Professional or nonprofessional experience as described above can substitute on a year-for-year basis for the required college education.

An equivalent combination of education and experience which equals six (6) years can substitute for the above requirements.

Requires possession of a valid class E driver license

JOB DUTIES:

COMPLIANCE-Monitors permit compliance by reviewing and analyzing applications and documents required for application, inspection results, and ownership information, to update information in FIMS and determine whether further action is necessary. Drafting and issuing notices of application deficiency or application denial, and/or provides assistance to other divisional personnel in the performance of these duties when permit requirements are not met.

FISCAL-Serves as Business Center fiscal liaison in requesting funds transfers, initiating refunds, and allocation of incoming funds. Reconciles incoming cash sheets with food, frozen dessert and vended water permits issued and outstanding re-inspection fees. Assists with oversight and administration of refund process.

TRAINING - Operates as lead trainer for section as new employees onboard.

CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE – When needed due to volume, assists other Business Center staff by answering phone calls and emails from internal and external stakeholders concerning retail/manufactured food permit compliance requirements, minimum construction standards, cottage food, and agency jurisdiction, administrative actions, outstanding fines, outstanding re-inspection fees, and current permit status, as well as IT related issues.

COMMUNICATION - Coordinates communication with food establishments.

ADMINISTRATIVE-Coordinates and tracks the interagency transfers of establishments. Reviews and responds to requests for agency approval of form ABT-6001 (Alcohol Forms). Contributes to bureau staff discussions and assists in the development of policies and procedures. Assists management in conducting necessary research and providing compliance statistics as requested. Assists in preparation of correspondence, reports, training material, and other documentation as needed. May also assist management by monitoring and reviewing internal processes to detect areas that need improvement. May analyze other program processes, including federal, state, local and private entities to identify areas for improvement of division processes. Provides support to the State Hemp

Assists with completion of special projects assigned to the Business Center. Performs other related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite: Excel, Word and Outlook.

  • Proficient in the use of Adobe Pro.

  • Knowledgeable of Office Word merge process (create a merge template, run a merge, edit individual documents in a merge, print and save merged documents.)
