As a Principal Solutions Architect on the OCI Developer Platform team, you will craft solutions to adapt our Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless, and DevOps services to solve real-world problems for our customers. You will bridge the last mile between OCI services and customer requirements and delight customers by providing them with a smooth ramp-up experience and unblocking them on OCI. You will also be a force multiplier and influence product design and roadmap based on insights gained from customer interactions. Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Solutions Architect with proven experience in the problem space of OpenShift. The role requires a wide range of skills, including hands-on coding knowledge, real-world systems design, and working experience with technical tools and services in the cloud, along with a strong sense of ownership and drive for results.

  • Work directly with key customers to understand their requirements and devise creative solutions to their problems.

  • Participate in deeply technical architectural discussions with customers and consult with Oracle field personnel to ensure customer solutions are designed for successful deployments to the cloud.

  • Partner with Product Managers in making new feature and service launches successful.

  • Develop and share technical solutions leveraging OCI services, tools, and technologies to increase product awareness.

  • Author and/or contribute to customer-facing publications such as whitepapers, handbooks, presentations, webinars, blogs, source code, etc.

  • Author and deliver engaging presentations at high-profile industry events (e.g., conferences, training events, etc.) as well as local developer meetups.

  • Advocate for the customer by articulating the user's needs.

  • Follow industry trends, market research, and competitive analysis.

  • Driving internal or external programs to analyze gaps and increase product adoption.

  • Proactively identify and resolve risks and issues that might otherwise derail projects.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Developer/Solutions Architect, with 3+ years in the problem space of OpenShift, Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless, and DevOps.

  • Experience architecting, deploying, and operationalizing cloud-native solutions (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Compute Platform, etc.). Experience with OCI is a plus.

  • Hands-on programming knowledge; demonstrated technical domain knowledge in system design of public cloud technologies and distributed systems.

  • Empathetic to the needs of our customers and committed to our mutual success.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in customer-facing/consulting roles with a proven record of earning trust as well as effective collaborations.

  • Past experience presenting at events, recording demos, and writing and publishing technical white papers and/or technical blogs.

  • Hands-on experience with popular tools and open-source projects in the OpenShift, Containers, Kubernetes, Serverless, and DevOps space

  • Experience influencing product roadmaps and engineering teams.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only

US: Hiring Range: from $94,200 to $223,500 per annum. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
