    Your Specific Responsibilities:

    This position answers incoming emails and chats from healthcare practitioners in a courteous and professional manner, access and responds to customer’s inquiries and provides accurate written responses in accordance with Department policy as well as Florida Statutes and Rules. Acts as communications liaison to research and provide problem resolution for all matters of license maintenance. This position requires independent judgment in dealing with licensees and the strong ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally and maintain effective working relationships.

    Independently exercise professional judgment in providing licensure information to licensees, applicants, and consumers, including referral as appropriate. Responds to customers via email, through written correspondence, chats and by telephone. Advise licenses or applicants of license/application status and/or provide user-id and passwords for online services system. Provide assistance to consumers, licensed healthcare practitioners and establishments regarding their licensure records and performs updates and/or revisions on an ongoing basis.

    Performs detailed research, review system generated reports and handle complex inquiries to determine avenues and eligibility for registration, certification, or licensure; advise customers of qualifications and licensure criteria in accordance with laws and rules. Respond to requests for information via email, by phone, chats or through written correspondence to advice customers of qualifications and licensure criteria in accordance with laws and rules.

    Evaluate renewal qualifications and/or post licensure criteria in accordance with laws and rules. Coordinate correction of deficiencies found during renewal review. Responsible for responding via email, through written correspondence, chats or telephone communication to accuracy update health care practitioner licensure records utilizing extensive research and using professional judgment.

    Preforms comprehensive database testing to ensure renewal transactions function in accordance with laws and rules that govern specific professions.

    Reviews customer inquiries utilizing the department systems to include intranet and/or internet sites to provide responses to customer inquiries and completes accurate written email responses.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Incumbent may be required to work before, during and/or beyond normal work hours or days in the event of an emergency. Emergency duty required of the incumbent includes working in special needs or Red Cross shelters, or performing other emergency duties including, but not limited to, responses to or threats involving any disaster or threat of disaster, man-made or natural. Incumbent may have access to records containing social security numbers in the performance of job duties.
