    $77,000.00 - $82,000.00 Annually $2,961.54 - $3,153.85 Bi-weekly

    Position Summary

    This position serves as the manager that is responsible for the programmatic and financial aspects of the Consumer Directed Care Plus (CDC+) Program which directly serves APD clients and supports them in the self-direction of their services. This position is required in state office and duties include but are not limited to:

    The Work You Will Do

  • Provides supervision by holding employees accountable for required work, assigning, and reviewing new work, providing ongoing coaching and feedback, performing general supervisory tasks in a timely manner, timely addressing any human resources related issues, and providing opportunities for employee growth when appropriate.

  • Develops operational policies, procedures, guidelines and evaluates impact on the CDC+ program and/or other areas within the Agency. Ensures that team members maintain and implement policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure standardized and effective delivery of initiatives for individuals served by the agency in accordance with state and federal regulations.

  • Directs training and technical assistance activities for clients, families, region staff and other stakeholders regarding CDC+ initiatives.

  • Participates in strategic and operational planning to identify and develop programs and pathways to support individuals with unique abilities through the CDC+ program.

  • Represents the Agency in departmental workgroups as it relates to CDC+. Provides oversight and direction for quality assurance functions for the CDC+ Program. Ensure that the Federal 1915j assurances are responded to and met and required reports are submitted accurately and timely.

  • Participates in administrative, planning, budgeting activities for the Program.

  • Maintains data used to direct, monitor, and inform core operational processes.

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree OR 4 years of experience in health and human services or education.

  • Three or more years’ experience supervising two or more staff.

  • Must have valid driver license or other efficient means of transportation and able to travel for work purposes.

  • Methods of compiling, organizing, and analyzing data for the purpose of monitoring and evaluating staff.

  • Structure and content of the English language, including meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.

    Direct Deposit Program

    As a condition of employment, a person appointed to a position in the State Personnel System is required to participate in the Direct Deposit Program. Rather than receiving a paper paycheck, your funds will be deposited directly into your account at your financial institution. This will be accomplished by Electronic Funds Transfer. Banks, savings and loan associations, and credit unions are eligible to accept such deposits. Retirement funds are also required to be in the Direct Deposit Program.

    Background Screening Requirement

    It is the policy of the Florida Agency for Persons with Disabilities that applicants for employment undergo Level 2 employment screening in accordance with the requirements of Chapter 435, Florida Statutes, as a condition of employment or being permitted to serve as a volunteer.

Level 2 background screening shall include, but not be limited to, fingerprinting for Statewide criminal and juvenile records checks through the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and Federal criminal records checks through the Federal Bureau of Investigation and may include local criminal records checks through local law enforcement agencies.

Pursuant to S. 110.1127(1), Florida Statutes, this position requires a background investigation, including fingerprinting.
