Job Description

We are searching for a Database Application Architect to be responsible for contributing to and/or producing as they relate to the design, development, implementation, or enhancement of Oracle Form application solutions to support the centralization and cloud-modernization of the client in Tallahassee, FL. A criminal history record check, including fingerprinting, on the consultant will be conducted. The duration is till end of June 2026. This position will be full-time and Onsite.

What You’ll Do

  • A - Prepare Deliverables within the timeframe specified by the Contract and/or Functional Manager(s).  Deliverables the Contractor will be responsible for contributing to and/or producing as they relate to the design, development, implementation, or enhancement of Oracle Form application solutions include, but are not limited to:  Work closely with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements that drive the analysis and design of quality technical solutions. These solutions must be aligned with business and IT strategies and comply with the organization’s architectural standards. Involved in the full systems life cycle and is responsible for designing, coding, testing, implementing, maintaining and supporting applications software that is delivered on time and within budgetMakes recommendations towards the development of new code or reuse of existing code. Responsibilities may also include participation in component and data architecture design, performance monitoring, product evaluation and buy vs. build recommendationsHas experience in systems analysis, design and a solid understanding of development, quality assurance and integration methodologiesDocument Current (AS IS) state of technical environments Operates as a technical lead in the reengineering of existing systemsOperates as a technical lead in the design and implementation of new systems.

  • B . Comply with OATS Administrative Policies and Procedures by working directly with the Department’s Contract Manager throughout the PO term

  • C . Prepare ISDM or Service Delivery Framework (SDF) documentation that indicates the project complies with OATS policies and procedures. Apprise OATS staff on ISDM or SDF information as directed by the Department’s Contract Manager

  • D . Address Project Team conflict and communication problems proactively.

  • E . Review required documentation evidencing the deliverable for completeness and correctness before submitting to the Project Team and Stakeholders. Obtain acceptance and approval of deliverables from the Contract Manager and appropriate Stakeholders

What You'll Need

Required:

  • A. Minimum Qualifications:i. Ability to communicate effectively (verbally and in writing) with Department staffii. A minimum of two to five years of programming/systems analysis experienceiii. Skills in understanding Oracle databases, forms and reports

  • Educational qualifications meeting at least one of the following levels:i. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, information Systems or another related fieldii. Equivalent work experience

Preferred:

  • Ability to write complex queries and develop complex PL/SQL database objects and \ or ability to write complex queries utilizing transact SQL

  • Knowledge of relational database design, data processing and data communications

  • Ability to write, read, and interpret technical specifications, test cases, and software requirements

Physical Demands

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
