Your Specific Responsibilities:

Responsible for testing procedures for the CONNECT system as needed; may attend development sessions in relation to CONNECT changes to the system; and providing direction and guidance to RA management. Acts as the primary Wage Audit liaison. Triaging Wage Audit CONNECT issue tickets; identifying, coordinating and providing Wage Audit CONNECT training.

As the workload requires, examines conflict wage audit information and if warranted, creates cases within Connect. Reviews claimant response to predetermination inquiries. Contacts claimants and/or employers by telephone or through correspondence and conducts a fact-finding interview in order to obtain all information necessary to determine if an overpayment exists. Issues a written unbiased determination to interested parties, if there is sufficient information to make a determination. Purges and prepares documents for upload into Connect, after the determinations are issued.

As needed, examines documentation, and considers requests for reconsideration of initial overpayment determinations. Issues written decisions to change the initial determination or refers to the Reemployment Assistance (RA) Appeals Section.

As the workload requires, monitors GENESYS Phone System and calls from Employers and Claimants. Ensures that the phone lines have constant coverage and no Claimant/Employers waiting in queues.

Ensures that all Workflow queues are completed timely and with accuracy by audit staff. Assists when necessary to ensure work is done within specific time frames.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of reemployment assistance law, rules, policies and procedures.

  • Knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis.

  • Ability to collect, evaluate, and analyze data to develop alternative recommendation, solve problems, document workflow, and other activities relating to the improvement of operational and management practices.

  • Ability to organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents, and other written materials.

  • Ability to conduct fact finding research.

  • Ability to utilize problem solving techniques.

  • Ability to understand and apply applicable rules, policies, and procedures relating to operational management analysis activities.

  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

    Qualifications:

    As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.

    Minimum:

  • Duties and responsibilities of this position must be performed at the official work site of the Department.

  • Travel may be required to travel.

    Preferred :

  • At least two years of professional experience in a Reemployment Assistance or Workforce program is also required.

  • RA Adjudication experience

  • RA Audit experience

  • Knowledge of RA laws, rules, policies, and procedures

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent.

    Pay:

    $39,320.81 Annually

    This is a highly responsible position requiring extensive knowledge of the Reemployment Assistance (RA) Law and department procedures relating to the RA program. This is complex professional work requiring not only extensive knowledge of the Reemployment Assistance Law, regulations, policies and procedures but also the ability to plan, organize, coordinate assignments, and work cooperatively with others.
