Talladega College Vice Provost/Chief Information Officer in Talladega, Alabama

Job Title: Vice Provost / Chief Information Officer Division: Academic Affairs Department: Cybersecurity

Job Responsibilities: Summary of the basic responsibilities or goals of the job, including its scope or limitations. The Vice Provost/Chief Information Officer will provide strategic leadership and oversight in all areas of digital transformation. The VP/CIO will manage budgets with innovation for technology efficiency. The VP/CIO will engage in grant writing and grant management, provide an optimal student experience, and support innovation throughout the campus. The VP/CIO will provide management oversight to the Essye B. Miller Center for Academic Excellence in Cybersecurity. Other focus areas include: experiential learning, supporting undergraduate and graduate programs and concentrations/certifications, continuous improvement and unit supervision.

Specific Duties: Numerical Listing of the specific duties or performances necessary to carry out the above mentioned responsibilities. 1. Provide strategic leadership and shape the institution's digital future 2. Collaborate with other senior administrators to develop and execute technology strategies 3. Guides the College through digital transformation in effective and efficient patterns 4. Manage operations of Information Technology campus-wide 5. Manage budgets within the unit, including grant management 6. Provide a state of the art student experience, with optimization of technology 7. Manage the Center of Excellence in Cybersecurity 8. Support undergraduate and graduate academic majors and certifications

Qualifications: Educational requirements, certification or licensing standards, experience and basic knowledge requirements. Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information, or related fields required; terminal degree preferred. Experience in higher education and/or industry experience as a CIO or Information Technology Director, along with experience in curriculum development, digital solutions, grant writing.
