Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for the role of Staff Accountant in TALLADEGA, Alabama. As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing a variety of accounting tasks including General Ledger entries, Accounts Payable, reconciliations, and other financial administration duties. This role is crucial in maintaining our financial health and making sure we meet our fiscal responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage daily transactions

• Maintain and update accounting records and files

• Conduct regular ledger and reconciliation reviews

• Manage accounts payable and ensure timely payments

• Prepare and post general ledger entries

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations

• Monitor all accounts and provide regular updates to the management

• Implement and work with new financial tracking systems

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and financial tracking

• Assist in the cleanup and organization of our financial records. Requirements • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field

• Proven experience in a similar role as a Staff Accountant or in a related field

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software

• Solid understanding and experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Familiarity with Bank Reconciliations and General Ledger

• Ability to create and post Journal Entries

• Experience with Month End Close procedures

• Excellent communication and organization skills

• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Certification such as CPA would be an added advantage

• Knowledge of accounting principles and regulations

• Ability to handle confidential information in a professional manner

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make sound decisions

• Must possess strong work ethics and integrity.
