Talladega College Adjunct Professors in Applied Instrument (Woodwind, Percussion, High/Low Brass) in Talladega, Alabama

Position Description

Talladega College invites qualified candidates for adjunct professors in applied instruments. This position reports to the Chair of the Music Department.

Adjunct Professors in Applied Instruments:

  • Will provide weekly lessons and attend juries on campus.
  • Should prepare students with technical studies and at least 2 pieces fromstandard classical repertoire at college levels.
  • Are responsible for the preparation of students for juries, semester/seniorrecitals, competitions, and auditions for graduate schools.
  • Will have abilities to teach their specialized instruments at all levels, beginner to advanced, and to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
  • Shall adhere to all applicable regulations of the college and the music department and report to the Chair of Music Department.

Applied Instruction Hours

  • Monday: 12 pm - 5pm
  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday: 9 am - 5 pm

Required Education A minimum of a masters degree in discipline or a masters degree with 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline

Required Work Experience At least two years of teaching experience at the college or high school level
