SMX is seeking a Site Lead. This position will provide assessment and oversight of new requirements to be deployed in support of a joint government team to enhance operational efficacy. Once new requirements have been identified and designated for execution, this position is responsible for managing these taskings in a systematic manner to ensure alignment with existing efforts, continuity, and compliance with the contract. The ideal candidate will be fluent in Chinese Mandarin. This position will provide subject matter expertise and expert recommendations on feasibility and priority of emerging requirements, as well as performing research and outlining actions required to meet dynamic customer needs and advance current support structure based on as-is and evolving resources. This role oversees and streamlines functional management and integration of operational requests. This role is the primary point of contact with the in-country support teams, as well as the on-site contact with the forward government customer and host nation individuals and entities, acting as continuity throughout personnel transition iterations.
This position requires a DoD Top Secret security clearance which requires US citizenship for work on a DoD contract.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Identify and perform market research on operational and logistical requirements to assist government in making determinations on execution actions, ensuring that these requirements align with mission and are feasible with existing resources
Collaborate with government customers to identify and satisfy operational and training support requirements, including performing market research, procurement, fielding, operational deployment, and integration of new requests, confirming that new requirements align with overarching mission objectives
Brief government customers on outputs of market research activities to confirm that information is disseminated clearly and in a timely manner
Build and develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the government customer to streamline processes, acting as continuity for constant transition periods
Maintain a flexible work schedule to adapt to required directives, accommodating requests for surge support
Required Skills & Experience
Required Clearance: TS/SCI
Education: BS or MS (Business, International Relations, or other relevant field) or can substitute years of experience for degree as applicable
Valid USA passport
Experience in the INDOPACOM AOR
Experience in a Joint Staff environment
Expert in use of Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams among others
Elevated ability to think strategically, resolve conflict, and manage time effectively
Excellent communication skills, verbally and in written format, for briefing and presentation delivery to internal and external stakeholders, including high level government customers
Extensive familiarity with financial and contractual requirements, with the ability to facilitate conversations with various government customers regarding these matters
Proven ability to deliver products and respond to RFIs on time and with utmost quality with minimal rework
Capacity to take initiative and work independently
Excellent at multitasking with the aptitude to find efficiencies, both individually and while leading a team, ensuring timely completion of required tasks
Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and interface with disparate government customers and requirement holders to accomplish program objectives
Demonstrated proficiency communicating observations, recommendations, and findings clearly and concisely to leadership
Desired Skills & Experience
Assignment and/or extensive experience working with one or multiple INDOPACOM Defense Attaché Office / Office of Defense Cooperation / Pacific Augmentation Team
10+ years’ experience in a Joint Staff environment
10+ years’ experience in the INDOPACOM AOR
Familiarity or experience with US foreign policy in the INDOPACOM AOR
Preference given to individuals with experience in the subject country
Chinese Mandarin fluency, including reading and writing proficiency
