Eaton Corporation RD Senior Material Engineer in Tainan, Taiwan

What you’ll do:

  • Material development & Global Material Standardization

  • Establish and maintain a log of all materials and Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) on all chemicals and materials used in the Taiwan R&D group. Ensure compliance with Eaton safety standards and other regulatory requirements.

  • Establish best practices and document standard procedures for rubber compound, mixing, sheeting, and testing to ensure standards are being met. This includes rubber compounding, color development, and paint development.

  • Execute Global Material COE project under material COE roadmap for global material and technology development.

  • Optimizing Global Material Standardization for rubber compound/paint formulas and processes worldwide.

  • Develop technologies and applications for new advance material concept/project.

  • Knowledge Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Develop, control, and submit for Global approval all rubber recipes for all products developed for manufacture in the Taiwan factory. Manage and maintain all materials recipe documentation to support product launch and production in system.

  • Establish best practices and lessons learned on compound formulas and process controls to achieve robust product quality. Pursue continuous learning and improvement to advance the knowledge for the work team.

  • Collaborate with Global material team or Manufacture for continuous Improvement Project

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in plymer / rubber technology, materials, polymer sciences or related fields.

  • Experience in rubber mixing and compounding process. (2+ years)

  • Design compound recipe and mixing step. (3+ years)

  • ISO color compound matchung. (2+ years)

  • English communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Expertise of polymeric materials properties (chemical to physical properties relationships)

  • Expertise of rubber mixing.

  • Knowledge in 8D problem solving. DOE. Six Sigma.

  • Project management is preferred.
