This position is responsible for leading all IT risk assessment and security consulting activities to assess the design, effectiveness and efficiency of the IT controls and compliance with laws and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development and execution of Information Risk Governance department operations, methodology, technologies and tools.

  • Helps drive continuous improvement efforts in alignment with direction provided by leadership and industry standards

  • Provides staff with professional and technical expertise and guidance to ensure that project objectives and scope are satisfied. This includes 4assisting staff members and contractors in the development and negotiation of recommendations and responses, evaluating the performance of the team, and providing guidance regarding department and company policies and procedures

  • Creates, reviews, and approves pertinent work papers and communications of assessment results. Work papers should comply with department and professional standards for content and quality

  • Manages the execution and delivery of IT risk assessments including scoping assessments, creates detailed assessment procedures and related testing and reporting in accordance with professional and departmental standards

  • Leads and directs cross functional teams, large complex projects or segment teams to achieve key business objectives and reduce IT security risks

  • Serves as a key resource on complex and/or critical issues

  • Successfully identifies, addresses, manages and/or escalates risks and issues within a project to the segment lead

  • Translates highly complex concepts in ways that can be understood by a variety of audiencesInfluences senior leadership to adopt new ideas, products and/or approaches to meet business needs and address IT security concerns

  • Leads special projects undertaken by the department and/or the Company

  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of IT internal audit or IT experience

  • 5+ years of experience in IT security and risk

  • 4+ years team Leadership experience

  • NIST, ISO, PCI, HIPPA, HITRUST, SSAE18, SOX 404 experience

  • Solid interpersonal skills while working effectively with a team

  • Solid oral and written communication skills

  • Desire to make a positive impact with the ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant IT certification(s) (e.g. CISSP, CISA, CISM, CIPT, CSFP, ISA, CIA, etc.)

  • 2+ years of experience in health insurance systems

  • Experience working in a complex IT environment
