Abbott Post Market Quality Analyst - Global Business Services in Taguig City, Philippines

The Post Market Quality Analyst is responsible for creating and developing key analyses to support Divisional Quality and the Business Units in transforming post market data into actionable product performance information. They will provide subject matter expert support to the wider PMS team on all matters related to data analysis.

The successful candidate will identify continuous improvement opportunities that will drive advances in product quality resulting in a better customer experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Key Activities)

  • Carries out duties in compliance with established business policies and procedures.

  • Demonstrates commitment to the development, implementation and effectiveness of applicable Quality Processes as per ISO, FDA, and other regulatory agencies.

  • Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal/external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company’s policies and practices.

  • Responsibility to understand and maintain awareness of the quality consequences which may occur from the improper performance of their specific job.

  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

  • Liaise with stakeholders across the division to identify business problems and gather and refine the user requirements for related data analysis.

  • Transform user requirements into objectives, key metrics and performance indicators.

  • Identify sources and collect data.

  • Transform, cleanse and consolidate data sources for accuracy, reliability and ease of use.

  • Produce standard data models and reports to support routine monitoring.

  • Create ad hoc reporting as necessary to support short term projects.

  • Produce detailed recommendations based on analysis findings.

  • Identify requirements for future data analysis tools/technologies and support the development process.

  • Recommend establishment of new or modified reporting methods and procedures to improve data collection and reporting.

  • Provide coaching and training support in cross-skilling and developing the PMS team.

  • Keep appropriate records of all support activities and ensure such records meet and exceed any audit requirements/standards.

  • In order to interact with sites on different time zones occasional out of hours working may be required.

Dimensions – Education / Experience / Skills

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a similar role.

  • Passionate about the value of quality data.

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills.

  • Proven track record in delivering KPI’s in a changing environment.

  • Excellent Project management skills.

  • Third level qualification in relevant science, technology or associated discipline.

  • Proven track record in the design and building of data models and reports.

  • A track record of working in multifunctional teams.

  • Experience of working stakeholders across cultures and locations.

  • Planning, problem solving, negotiations and facilitation should be core competencies.

  • Clear communicator (verbal, written) with the ability to describe, educate and influence based on available data.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to achieve results through mentoring others and maintaining strong links with other departments.

  • Positive attitude, team player with a high level of initiative, energy and enthusiasm.

  • Innovative, with a strong ability to identify pain points and potential solutions.

  • Self-starter; possesses flexibility and ability to work under pressure in a fast-changing environment and ambiguous situations.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of statistics and data analysis.

  • Hands on experience with one or more Statistical programming languages such as R or Python.

  • Hands on experience and current skills developing and performing data analysis with a variety of software tools.

  • Experience with one or more Business Intelligence platforms i.e. PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of data visualisation techniques.

  • Business Intelligence and Business Warehouse reporting experience desirable.

  • Highly proficient in Excel and other MS Office applications.

  • Proven abilities in creativity and innovation. Detail-oriented, a critical-thinker, experienced at investigating and resolving complex issues.

  • Demonstrated administrative, written and verbal communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
