Overview of the job

Digital Product Manager/Owner CAD and PLM for devices. In this role, you will be responsible for managing various aspects of our CAD and PLM systems, ensuring smooth operations, and driving innovation. You will become responsible for a set of applications used throughout the new product introduction process, including all aspects of the application lifecycle.

Your team

Your line manager is Senior Manager for Devices CAD and PLM solutions. You will work in a small team with two colleagues and two external partners. Preferable in European shift.

How success looks like

Become a certified P&G digital program manager, learn, and apply the P&G Dev-Ops toolset, and gain expertise in P&G application management and cloud offerings.

Success in this position is enabling a most efficient new product introduction process by helping the devices R&D and Product Supply community to select the right software tools, configure them properly, test and rollout them smoothly and keeping the users well informed, trained, and happy with best-in-class usability. The need to maximize availability and reliability of the supported toolset, configured to the needs of the users is key.

You will need to work proactively with the vendors of the application on enhancements, discuss options and alternatives with the uses and be always on the edge of the industry trends to propose changes to the business if they sound promising.

Depending on the success in role you will gain responsibility for applications with a larger user base and more visibility within the company, replace external partners and become the new leader of the service.

Responsibilities of the role

Obtaining certification as a P&G program manager and applying the Dev-Ops toolset for effective project execution.

Managing and overseeing the applications landscape, ensuring their smooth operation and efficient utilization for device development and engineering processes.

Creating and maintaining a comprehensive knowledge base and documentation, focusing on device-specific procedures and utilities within applications like Windchill, Creo Parametric and SolidWorks.

Developing training materials, such as videos, interactive sessions, and virtual trainings, to enhance users' proficiency in Creo Parametric, Windchill, Keyshot, Mathcad, and other auxiliary applications used at P&G.

Exploring and analyzing opportunities and drawbacks of cloud-based CAD and CAD data management, designing potential migration scenarios, and calculating ROI to support decision-making.

Enhancing the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) by understanding end users' needs, recommending changes, and tracking System Usability Scale (SUS) scores for continuous improvement.

Establishing and implementing a system to track and automate pre-rollout testing of new software releases, ensuring comprehensive testing beyond the vendors' standard procedures.

Collaborating with strategic partners and internal stakeholders, building diverse and collaborative relationships to drive innovation, resolve issues, and improve processes within the CAD and PLM landscape.

Job Qualifications

Role Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or Informatics.

• Strong communication skills to discuss technical concepts, interview users, understand why things are done this way, and convince stakeholders to change.

• Service-oriented behaviour and excellent technical writing skills.

• Ability to learn self-motivated, to dig into existing processes and to propose enhancements.

• Proven experience in new product introduction processes, engineering work processes, CAD and PLM systems, and related applications. Creo Parametric, Windchill PDMLink, SolidWorks, Keyshot, MathCAD, etc., is desirable.

• Leadership skills and the ability to build diverse and collaborative relationships with strategic partners and internal stakeholders.

• Proficiency in English.

• Knowledge of Database Platforms, Enterprise/Cloud Computing, Enterprise IT Architecture, Platform Operations, Software Engineering, etc., is a plus.
