AHBL Survey Crew Chief in Tacoma, Washington

AHBL is a multidisciplinary firm offering services in civil and structural engineering, planning, landscape architecture, and land surveying to public and private clients alike. We are seeking a Crew Chief to support the Survey Department in our Tacoma office. WHAT YOU WILL DO In this role you will plan, organize, and direct the survey crew to ensure that work is completed within budget and to clients' satisfaction. You will perform a mix of office and field work and will work on a variety of projects including residential subdivisions, educational facilities, and military installations. Types of surveys performed include ALTA/ACSM land title surveys, route surveys, topographic surveys, and construction staking projects. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 4+ years of survey experience. Survey Crew Chief experience preferred. Extensive knowledge of land surveying principles and practices. Working knowledge of TDS, Trimble software, Trimble Robotic Total Stations, and GPS equipment. Able to organize field notes and execute field staking. Strong communication and computer skills. A valid Washington State driver's license and the ability to obtain and maintain clearance to work at local military installations. COMPENSATION $29.80 - $43 per hour Annual discretionary performance-based bonus. Actual pay will be based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law.
