PeopleReady Senior Accountant in Tacoma, Washington
Overview:
In this role you will be an integral part of the Accounting Team within TrueBlue reporting to the Manager, Accounting. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure the appropriate accounting in compliance with U.S. GAAP for our lines of business at our Chicago location: PeopleScout and PeopleManagement.
The Senior Accountant will establish proactive working relationships with cross-functional departments, liaising with Legal, Operations, our accounting group and Business Finance on an ongoing basis.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the accurate preparation of various accounting close entries and various accounting reconciliations
Research and document month over month balance sheet and income statement fluctuations
Identify and articulate accounting issues clearly and concisely, and prepare summaries of issues for manager review
Serve as a point of contact for management and business partners. Build positive, effective working relationships with business partners and operations personnel
Assist with maintaining appropriate company policies, procedures and internal controls
Assist with coordination of documentation and compliance of SOX controls related to revenue, unbilled A/R, deferred revenue and cost of sales and other areas as needed
Identify and implement process improvements in the current and future accounting processes
Prepare and submit PBC's to External Reporting and external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audit
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
2+ years relevant experience in accounting, and/or audit (Big 4 firm experience preferred, but not required)
Certifications: CPA preferred or working towards CPA
Excellent communication, team player, and organizational skills
Ability to work independently to identify problems early, explore possible solutions and drive for consensus building
Strong general accounting skills
Willingness to take on additional projects and responsibilities as needed
Strong understanding of US accepted accounting principles
Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Salary Range:
The salary for this position is anticipated to range between $73,350 and $88,700 annually.
Pay is based on qualifications necessary for the position, including experience, training, and other considerations permitted by law. We consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records in accordance with applicable law.
