Shape the Future of Emergency Care: RN Service Line Educator - Emergency Department

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health, a leading healthcare provider in the Pacific Northwest, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Service Line Educator to join our dynamic Emergency Department team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the development and implementation of innovative educational programs for our Emergency Department staff, ensuring they have the knowledge and skills to provide the highest quality care.

  • Collaborate with clinical leaders and subject matter experts to identify educational needs and develop engaging and effective training materials.

  • Facilitate a variety of educational sessions including classroom lectures, simulations, and hands-on training.

  • Provide ongoing support and mentorship to staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

  • Stay abreast of the latest advancements in emergency medicine and translate them into practical applications for our team.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of evidence-based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes.

Qualifications

Education/Work Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, and two years of RN nursing work experience in the Emergency Room. Previous work experience in the education/training of healthcare providers is strongly preferred. Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.

Alternative Requirement: A candidate who, although otherwise qualified, lacks a BSN degree may also be considered for the position if:

  1. The applicant has a combined total of at least four years work experience in RN nursing and education/training development/delivery in the designated specialty area; AND
  • Current active Washington State RN license.

  • Certification in specialty area to be obtained within one year of hire.The applicant is actively pursuing attainment, within six months (or less) of date of hire, a bachelor’s degree in nursing, with a graduation date identified and continuing progress made towards completion of the degree requirements.

Licensure/Certification

  • Current active Washington State RN license.

  • Certification in specialty area to be obtained within one year of hire.

  • Current Health Care Provider BLS required

Pay Range

$46.96 - $74.63 /hour
