Description

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Grant Accountant with solid expertise in public accounting to join our dynamic accounting team. The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of grant financial management, including budgeting, auditing, and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Manage grants related accounting duties: ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards

• Prepare and analyze grant budgets and financial reports

• Coordinate with project managers to prepare efficient budgets and financial forecasts for grant proposals

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all grants, contracts, and related financial activities

• Coordinate between auditors and program staff during audits

• Regularly communicate financial information to non-financial staff in a clear, concise manner

• Assist with the preparation of budget revisions and project code set-ups

• Adhere to internal controls, policies, and procedures

  Requirements

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

• Minimum 5 years of progressive public accounting experience

• Experience in the administration of federal, state, and private grants

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and accounting software

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Detail-oriented, professional, and possess the ability to multitask

• Familiarity with fund accounting or non-profit accounting is advantageous
