PACIFIC FUNCTIONAL FLUIDS LLC Facility Maintenance Worker in TACOMA, Washington
Job Summary: The General Maintenance Worker will perform general maintenance and repairs for the assigned equipment and facilities including plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry and other building systems.
Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities:
- Inspects and identifies equipment or machines in need of repair.
- Troubleshoots issues to determine necessary repairs.
- Plans repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals as needed.
- Performs general repairs that do not require a specialized technician. Examples may include repairing drywall, painting, welding, rebuilding pumps, repairing doors and other building fixtures.
- Performs routine maintenance on building systems.
- Cleans and assists with upkeep of facilities.
- Orders supplies and materials needed for repairs and maintenance.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to follow instructions from supervisors and or management.
- Knowledge of general carpentry, plumbing, electrical and welding.
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools and welders.
- Excellent organization and time management skills.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Boiler Certification.
- Related experience preferred.
- On-the-job training offered.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolong periods standing and walking.
- Must be physically able to climb stairs, ladders, kneel, bend, twist, or crawl into awkward spaces.
- Must be able to lift up to 50LBS pounds at a time.
- This position is considered a safety-sensitive position for pre-employment drug testing purposes under Washington state law.
