Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team! In this role you will completes highly technical and difficult design assignments in one discipline, generally utilizing either 2D or 3D CAD (computer aided design) methods. Technical skills gained from education/training and experience over many years enables this level of Designer to work independently and complete the most demanding design assignments.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Prepare reports, designs, and drawings.

• Carry out comprehensive analysis using computer aided analysis tools such as ETABS, SAFE or SAP.

• Produce comprehensive structural member design calculations for complete building structures.

• Provide technical advice on safe designs and construction.

• Liaise with professional staff such as architects and engineers.

• Monitor and inspect all work undertaken by contractors to ensure structural soundness.

• Inspect properties to evaluate the conditions and foundations.

• Review structural shop drawings and bar bending schedule submitted by contractor.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Degree in civil or structural engineering with 10 years of work experience as a structural engineer.

• Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and code requirements .

• Sound understanding of structural analysis and design.

• Ability to liaise with professionals from other disciplines.

• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Excellent communication and IT skills.

• Conversant in BIM (Revit, Navisworks, CAD)
