Google Senior Software Engineer, Account and Device Integrity in São Paulo, Brazil

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 5 years of experience with software development in C++ and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

  • 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).

  • Experience in processing and analyzing datasets and utilizing big data technologies and platforms.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.

  • Experience in internet-based risk, abuse, data protection, or security.

  • Experience designing data models and data warehouses.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will help our team protect Google and its users by building data solutions to empower our account abuse-fighting teams. You will design solutions that work across different use cases and scale to the needs of our clients. You will work with cross-team dependencies and aligning priorities, collaborating actively with the Account and Device Integrity Data team in Zurich (Switzerland).

The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.

  • Write and test product or system development code.

  • Participate in, or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide amongst available technologies.

  • Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency).

  • Work closely with teams who fight account abuse.

  • Ensure reliability, performance and scalability of solutions, leveraging on data-driven decisions.
