Job Description
Position Summary: Thermo Fisher Scientific is looking for a payroll analyst to participate in and oversee the preparation and processing of the weekly and bi-weekly payrolls in Brazil
Under Supervisor, process payroll to accurately compensate new hires, terminations, and salary changes
Process exception items such as commissions, bonus payments and stock options.
Coordinates and consolidates payroll files for upload to the payroll software.
Researches and prepares responses to employee payroll questions.
Analyses payroll data to produce accurate and timely paychecks
Reviews, prepares, and processes payroll.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
3 + years of experience in Payroll processing
Prior experience with Workday and Service Now
Associate’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Experience maintaining confidentiality and working in a deadline-driven environment.
Ability to be detail oriented and accurate and have effective communication skills.
Proficiency in system/PC applications (Excel and Word).
Excellent customer service skills and strong analytical ability.
Work closely with management and accounting for payroll accounting entries, reports, and resolving discrepancies
Ability to organize and prioritize work under tight time constraints
Participate in improvement projects related to payroll processes
Support internal control standards and self-audit processes related to all aspects of payroll
Participate in business or functional projects as required
