Technical Purchasing Specialist, EMEA Direct

The role’s responsibility: strategic purchasing of technical/engineered goods (castings, machined items), focusing on production transfers with the need of technical acumen. This new role will be an important pillar of one of our major Category Management Team.

Your main responsibilities:

Your main focus will be on providing support to categories related to program, sourcing, and relationship activities, work closely with and accountable for:

  • Program execution of footprint activities including delivery of commercial terms and conditions agreements, new vendor approval coordination with Supplier Quality, new vendor introduction with Supply Chain Management, and cross-functional program coordination with a focus on transfer timeline, CAPEX, legal compliance, supply chain, supplier quality, technology, and design

  • Supporting the development of sourcing strategies, execution of sourcing strategies using existing Purchasing Tools, preparing data and fact packs for supplier negotiations, and being responsible for the tendering process.

  • Managing supplier relationships, monitoring supplier performance (e.g. on-time delivery, quality), ensuring deliveries are on target, supporting follow-up on improvement initiatives, and participating in developing SRM strategies.

  • Procurement management, including being accountable for vendor master data and updating purchasing conditions.

Your background:

  • Relevant commercial, technical, or quality-related experience/education

  • 3-5 years of experience in similar work as a project or program buyer

  • Previous experience in machining, cast iron, metal processing, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders in project management

  • Fluent in English

Location: The primary location for this position is primarily in Indjija, and Székesfehérvár, Tatabánya, Budapest as alternative locations. This role also allows for three days per week of remote work from home. Travel is required for five to six times a year.
