Emerson Buyer (G4G) - 1 year contract in SZÉKESFEHÉRVÁR, Hungary

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE

Primary responsibilities are supporting German for German (G4G) supply chain activities, which includes supplier quote requests, issuing purchase orders, managing supplier communications with tracking orders to ensure on-time delivery and goods receipt and invoice reconciliation. The buyer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, to make purchase decisions based on demand.

IN THIS ROLE, YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL BE:

  • Create required purchasing material list based on Bill of Material (BoM) for new product implementation.

  • Collect engineering drawings and specification for each materials.

  • Request quotes in case of new items in the relevant ERP system based on global supply chain (strategic purchasing) department sourcing matrix. Ensure the best cost and compliant solutions.

  • Set supply chain master data in SAP, such as suppliers, item price, lead time, custom tariff information

  • Create Purchase Orders for goods, materials, components, or services in line with specified cost, quality and delivery targets based on ERP system requirements. Ensure POs are acknowledged by suppliers on time meeting required delivery dates.

  • Track open PO reports’ communication to suppliers in support of materials on time delivery, expediting and inventory control.

  • Communicate on time any supply problems which may impact on business operations.

  • Act as an interface between suppliers and other relevant departments on purchasing processes

  • Contact suppliers to resolve price, quality, delivery or invoice issues

  • Work systematically and professionally in a well-documented manner in accordance with the company rules and procedures including adherence to trade compliance (export / import and supply chain security) regulations entirely.

Outstanding analytical skills. Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analysing and interpreting data. Communicate Effectively: Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences. Good negotiating and influencing skills.Drive Results: Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances. Self- driven personality. High attention to detail required.

Manages Ambiguity: Operating effectively, even when things are not certain, or the way forward is not clear.Abel to work well under pressure and handle emergency and stressful situations.

Manages Complexity: Making sense of complex, high quantity, and sometimes contradictory information to effectively solve problems.

FOR THIS ROLE, YOU WILL NEED:

  • Fluent English language

  • University/ College Certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS THAT SET YOU APART:

  • German language

  • Engineering Certification

  • Supply Chain Certification

  • Materials Management (planning, inventory management, purchasing) knowledge.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Power BI etc.)

  • SAP Knowledge
