The ideal candidate will have a comprehensive understanding of chemfilm processes, metal surface preparation, and adherence to environmental and safety standards.Key Responsibilities:1. Chemfilm Application: - Prepare metal surfaces, specifically various grades of aluminum and carbon steel, for chemfilm treatment. This includes cleaning, degreasing, and etching. - Accurately apply chemfilm coatings using immersion or spray methods, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specifications. - Monitor and adjust chemical solutions and bath temperatures to maintain process consistency and quality.2. Quality Control: - Conduct tests to verify the thickness and integrity of chemfilm coatings. - Inspect treated surfaces for uniformity, coverage, and defects. - Collaborate with the quality assurance team to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.3. Maintenance and Safety Compliance: - Perform routine maintenance on chemfilm application equipment and work area to ensure operational efficiency. - Handle and dispose of chemicals safely, following all environmental regulations and company policies. - Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to all safety protocols to prevent exposure to hazardous materials.4. Record-Keeping and Documentation: - Maintain accurate records of chemfilm processes, including chemical usage, maintenance activities, and inspection results. - Document process variations and report any significant discrepancies to the supervisor.5. Team Collaboration: - Work closely with other technicians and departments to ensure a smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks. - Provide input for process improvement and participate in training sessions as required.6- Other duties as assigned by SupervisorQualifications:- High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training in chemical processing or related field is preferred.- Experience in chemfilm treatment of aluminum and carbon steel in a manufacturing or industrial environment.- Familiarity with surface preparation and coating techniques.- Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations pertaining to chemical handling and waste disposal.Skills:- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.- Good problem-solving abilities and analytical skills.- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.- Effective communication skills.Working Conditions:- The role involves working in an industrial setting, which may include exposure to chemicals, fumes, and noise. Safety equipment and training will be provided.- Physical requirements may include standing for long periods, bending, and lifting materials.

Minimum Salary: 15 Maximum Salary: 18 Salary Unit: Hourly
