SUNY Upstate Medical University Registered Nurse - SWAT in Syracuse, New York

Job Summary: The SWAT nurse will perform and coordinate nursing care to patients in multiple specialized units requiring advanced knowledge and skills. The incumbent will make independent decisions regarding complex patient care problems which involve the analysis of multiple sources of data, identification of alternative health care possibilities and the selection of a course of treatment action

Minimum Qualifications:

Possession of or eligibility for a license to practice as a registered nurse in New York State and two years of post-licensure clinical nursing experience in an acute care specialty area.

Preferred Qualifications:

1-2 years NICU or newborn emergency experience required. This position will be primarily night shift (19-07 or 23-07). Will work in concert with other SWAT RNs to provide 24/7 SWAT RN coverage

Work Days:

Part-time (0.5), Eve/night, rotating weekends and holidays

Salary Range/Pay Rate:

SG20- Based on experience + differential
