Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:The incumbent of this Registered Nurse 1 position will coordinate the delivery of direct support and clinical staff related skill development topics such as medication administration, maintaining health, CPR/First Aid and other topics as across Central New York DDSO and communicate regularly with supervisors in the agency. Incumbent will serve as a support resource to other divisions and serve on committees as assigned.#LI-DV1PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:• Plan, coordinate and instruct the Approved Medication Administration program. This will include travel to the Rome area. • Teach New Employee related topics including but not limited to: MIPS, Maintaining Good Health, First Aid, CPR, and other NEO classes as assigned.• Plan, coordinate and instruct RN/LPN Orientation.• Become a certified American Red Cross Professional and basic CPR, First aid and AED instructor.• Provide remedial medication administration training to staff and/or guidance for state operations RN’s when needed. • Monitor staff training compliance by utilizing the Statewide Learning Management System and electronic 811s. • Data entry and support/train CNY RNs re E811s.• Attend agency Committee meetings, monthly Nurses Meeting, participate in work groups as assigned.• Support the local Traineeship Council for nursing related topics.• Serve as a nursing liaison to support departments. • Coordinate and conduct Fit Testing for new employees. • Provide audio-visual and technical assistance and support to staff for trainings, meetings, and video conference. • Maintain records, rosters, and training activities for all nursing related course work. Support data entry and reporting. • Maintain records, rosters, and ensure training compliance for contract nurses.• Other duties, as assigned.

Geographic Differential added to the job rate ($82,656) for Registered Nurse 1 PS&T Grade 18.
