The Syracuse University Press project editor position maintains copyediting guidelines, quality assessment techniques, and feedback mechanisms for use before, during, and after copyediting phase. This position advises copyeditors in collaboration with the manager of editorial and production on quality of work. It will shepherd manuscripts through editorial and production process, ensuring quality control and on-time publication schedules; delegates duties and tasks, as necessary, to the editorial and production assistant, work study students, and interns during manuscript preparation and processing; and maintains editorial and production schedules and documentation in the Biblio database. Finally, in collaboration with the manager of editorial and production, it identifies and implements other tools for scheduling and managing editorial processes.
