SRC, Inc Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Syracuse, New York

As a Manufacturing Engineering Technician at SRCTec LLC, you will be part of a team focused on the development, implementation, and sustainment of production capabilities for radar, CUAS, and electronic warfare systems. You will join forces with a highly capable Manufacturing Engineering staff to establish and maintain manufacturing capabilities, support transition from development to full-rate production, and troubleshoot problems that are encountered during the manufacturing lifecycle. You will collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams of manufacturing professionals and stay at the cutting-edge of electronics manufacturing.
What You'll Do
  • Support engineers and production personnel during product transition, qualification, initial production, and product sustainment phases
  • Participate in the creation of mechanical assembly tooling and processes for new products and production improvements
  • Build fixtures, tools, equipment, assemblies, and cables in support of product transition efforts
  • Assist in early prototype build efforts for new products to assess and facilitate producibility
  • Lead small-scale projects as directed by other engineers or group leadership
  • Utilize problem-solving skills to execute process improvements and product level support
  • Create new or revise existing MES workplans. Execute "MES Helps" as required
  • Assist engineers with Engineering Bills of Materials, Manufacturing Bills of Materials, and product configuration in ARAS Innovator and Costpoint applications
  • Own various equipment PM and improvement tasks (cleanliness, calibration, general improvement activities, etc.) as assigned
  • Comply with and support company policies and programs regarding safety, quality, compliance, security, etc.
What You'll Bring
  • Associate's Degree in a technical discipline
  • 3+ Years of related manufacturing and production process experience
  • Familiarity with the assembly and test processes for complex, RF-based military products
  • Ability to interpret electrical schematics, technical datasheets, mechanical drawings, test procedures, and assembly instructions
  • Experience working with fabrication tools (hand tools, power tools)
  • IPC-J-STD-001 and IPC/WHMA-A-620 certifications a plus
  • Working knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES - Solumina) and ARAS Innovator
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, with excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be a U.S. citizen

Total compensation for this role is market competitive. The anticipated range for this position based out of Syracuse, NY is estimated at $28 to $33/hour. The hourly rate will vary based on applicant's experience, skills, and abilities, geographic location as well as other business and organizational needs.
