Google Technical Program Manager, Global Network Planning Sydney, Australia

Minimum qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
5 years of experience in program management.
Preferred qualifications:
5 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
Extensive experience with Google networking architecture and physical network components in Co-location and Large Scale Data Center operational experience
Networking NPI Deployments (Alphabet) and/or ML NPI deployment experience
Working knowledge of automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Fluxx, Fabric-Intents, etc) for infrastructure provisioning and management.
Proven track record of successfully planning and executing complex infrastructure migrations, upgrades, and tech refreshes with minimal disruption.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Lead projects in support of quarterly topology publications such as capacity PoR and infrastructure PoRs for WAN core and campus functional areas
Participate in topology change control program ensuring consistent handling of topology change in and out of cycle
Contribute technical expertise in network planning functions as well as programs established to improve efficiency, accuracy and automation
Liaise with partner teams to identify obstacles and ambiguity in processes and automation. May also include direct ownership of delivery projects, personal T/PgM program contributions
Establish and/or contribute to key business metrics development, measurement and tracking
